Social Contributions

Practice of Sharing of Hanwha Advanced Materials

Hanwha Advanced Materials is a committed and active member of society,
making concerted efforts to contribute to our community through a variety of activities.

Hanwha Advanced Materials carries out various sincere social contribution activities based on Hanwha Group`s social contribution philosophy, 'Going Further Together'. Each plant runs its own 'Hanwha Social Volunteering Team', and all employees volunteer more than once a year. We also started the Better Future Fund in 2002, making matching employee donations to worthy causes. We will continue to promote this within our corporate family, bringing employees and the company together for the common good.

Hanwha Community Relations

Friends for Tomorrow

We share love and the future.

We Are Friends Sharing The 36.5°C Warmth.

With the plan to involve all employees in volunteering at least once a year, Hanwha Advanced Materials is carrying out
various activities by visiting underprivileged people and facilities in the community.

For instance, we participate in preserving the ecosystem near the business sites (removing invasive species around the Geumgang River,
planting flowering trees in Nogosan Mountain) and supporting local children’s centers (organizing a band, offering psychotherapy,
making eco-friendly bean bags).
Moreover, we constantly sponsor nursing homes, residential facilities for people with disabilities, and social welfare centers through partnerships
and strive to share love with the underprivileged in society by carrying out various volunteer activities.

Bright World Fund

We support disadvantaged persons, the environment, and nonprofit organizations (social welfare facilities).

Advanced fundraising, matching grant : 'Bright World Fund' is an advanced fundraising method that is made up of additional donations funded by the company in proportion to the contributions of the employees and donations of a certain amount of salary every month through the voluntary procedures to help neighbors in need.

Before 2002, fundraising events were held by each affiliate. From 2002, fundraising events were expanded to the whole company, and employees were encouraged to participate. As a result, more than 90% of all employees participated in the first year with a large amount of funds amounting to over 100 million won that were collected each month. In addition, from 2004, we plan to increase the ratio of matching donations from 100% to 150% so that more funds can be raised.

The "Better World Fund", which is created through the voluntary participation of employees, is being used for disadvantaged neighborhoods, the environment, cultural development and nonprofit organizations (social welfare facilities) in which our employees volunteer.
